Our Palo Santo is ethically and sustainably sourced from Peru in full compliance with regulations set by SERFOR (Peru’s National Forestry and Wildlife Service). The wood is never cut from living trees. Instead, SERFOR surveys and grants permits to local communities to collect only naturally fallen Palo Santo wood. Cutting down Palo Santo trees is strictly prohibited.
 
Freshly cut Palo Santo does not produce the distinctive aroma it is known for. The wood must rest and cure—often for several years—so that the natural resins fully develop and create the rich scent associated with authentic Palo Santo. All harvesting is supervised and inspected by SERFOR, and export is permitted only after official approval.
